UPDATE: Woody has completed his training with Doggone Express and is ready and eager to be adopted. He obviously had some training in his home, and he has done well in the "From the Big House to Your House Program. Woody is housetrained, crate trained and leash trained. He lived with his trainers 24/7 and learned basic obedience commands.This handsome fellow came to us as a stray. We find him a well mannered fellow who has a great 'sit' and is quite affectionate. He should make a fabulous companion. We were told he is very friendly, good with dogs and cats, very sweet, likes to give hugs and kisses. He is great around children and has been around a special needs child. Woody is an excellent runner and is part of the Rescue Runners Program. He weighs 57 pounds and is fully grown. He tested light heartworm positive, and the Jefferson SPCA will treat him thanks to donations to the JSPCA Heartworm Fund. The Doggone Espress adoption fee is $150 and includes at least one round of vaccinations, mandatory spay/neuter surgery, heartworm test, and microchip.
