I am a Tulane Law Student looking to sublease my room. It is located on Freret Street about 3 blocks from Tulane and Loyola. Its really close to both schools (you dont have to be a student to rent it though). Rent is $450 a month and includes everything but cable/internet and electric. If you have a car, there is a small driveway and there is no parking time limit on the street outside the house.
You would be sharing the house with two female law students and get your own furnished bedroom (comes with a bed, desk, chest of drawers). I also bought a bookcase (the white one in the picture of the room), desk chair, and another set of chest of drawers (the shorter one) when I moved. I will not have room to take them with me when I leave so if you want them I can leave them in the room and you can keep them even after you move out if you would like. Otherwise I will just call Good Will to take them.
The bedroom has a jack and jill bathroom that you would share with one of my roommates. The other roommate has the master bedroom with her own bathroom. The house itself is also fully furnished and is really nice. Its clean and has stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher). It also comes with a washer and a dryer. Call or text me and I can send you pictures or we can set up a time for you to come see it.
The lease ends in August but if you would like to live there next year the landlord will most likely let you sign another lease (as long as you do not trash the place).
It is a nice, clean house. I have been very happy with it. You really cant beat the price and being so close to school has been very convenient. I am just moving because I have decided to change schools.
My roommates are both very friendly but are very studious so if you plan on having parties I dont think it would be a good fit. (Having a few people over is totally fine of course!).
