Leo, an All-American mix, came to the shelter as a stray. We guess his owner didn't look hard enough, long enough or far enough to find him. Now he is looking for a new home. This friendly boy is fine on a leash. He love bouncing around the exercise yard playing with dog toys. You won't need to worry about him clearning the coffee table with his tail - he doesn't have one. You might notice a bit of a skin problem. It is demodex. It is not contagious, and should clear up faster once he is out of the stressful situation at the shelter. Leo tested negative for heartworms. We hope to post pictures late Thrus.
The Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter adoption fee is $67. Fee includes at least one round of vaccinations, mandatory spay/neuter surgery, heartworm test, and microchip.
